Mladez
HDZ participated in this year's annual Congress of the
Young European People's Party (YEPP) held in Paris from
17th to 20th March. The Croatian delegation was lead
by Mladez HDZ president Margareta Maderic and was made
up of the International secretary of Mladez HDZ Patricio
Petric, vice-secretary Lada Jurica, Presidency member
Mato Frankovic and newly elected financial revizor of
the YEPP Darija Jurica.
One of the main reasons
for Mladez HDZ's attendance at the Congress was to lobby
out a Resolution to support Croatia's succession into
the European Union, more so, to support the beginning
of negotiations between the EU and Croatia as soon as
possible.
The Resolution was
supported by a majority of participants at the Congress
including; YFG (Ireland), IDF (Hungary), Fidelitas (Hungary),
Junge Union (Germany), Junge OVP (Austria), Nova Generacija
(Slovenija), Nuevas Generaciones (Spain), and NEDISY
(Cyprus).
The Congress
elected it's new president Mr. David Hansen from Norway
and also unanimously elected Croatia's nomination for
the Financial Revisor position Ms. Darija Jurica.
